Monitor hire and rental in Scotland

Monitor rentals

Computer hire and rental Scotland

A few years ago the idea of a second monitor on your desk was an odd one. But now with the plethora of tabs open on a desktop, it has become second nature to have two monitors as part of your workstation setup. If you’ve never tried a second monitor, hire one from us for a short period and see how you get on.

Perhaps you need extra monitors to hire if you are displaying images at an exhibition. Hiring multiple monitors works out at just a fraction of the cost of buying them, and then the subsequent storage.

We have a wide range of monitors to hire at Quality Rental so how do you know which monitor is right for you?

Hiring the right display monitor

The most obvious advancement in monitors over the years is to move away from Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) monitors to slim LCD screens. Here is some useful information about monitors to help you understand which one is the most suitable to hire or rent.

Resolution

Monitor resolution is about image quality and precisely how images appear on screen. If you need people to be able to read what is on the monitor from far away, you will need a high-resolution screen. Close up, in-person or 1-2-1 situations for sharing a single screen, the resolution can be much lower.

Monitor size

There is no rocket science here. If a screen needs to be seen from a distance, a larger monitor is needed. If the monitor is for a workstation, smaller size monitors are more suitable.

Response

This is a little more technical this point. Response time is the time it takes the pixels on the monitor screen to change from one colour to another. In a gaming environment you want response times to be low. For ‘normal’ working environments, the standard response time built-in to the monitor is adequate nearly all of the time.

Blue light

If you tend to do a lot of your work in the hours of darkness, you may want a blue light filter.
