Starting on Saturday 22 November this campaign championed by the BBC will highlight what people can do to protect themselves and those they love from being scammed.
The BBC is running a multi-platform series of programming and events, to help the public stay informed in the fight against scams.
Part of the week will explore efforts the industry takes to prevent fraud and scams, as well as providing consumer fraud prevention advice from the Take Five to Stop Fraud campaign.
Anything that can help bring awareness to financial fraud and help provide key advice on how the public can protect themselves is a good thing. It is relevant to our business as items of IT are being passed back and forth to customers through us. It is vital people know that laptops for example are wiped and new software reinstalled including anti-virus before going out to a new customer.
